No Smoking Day!

It’s No Smoking Day on Wednesday 9th March 2016

No Smoking Day is run by the British Heart Foundation. The campaign aims to help smokers who want to quit by creating a supportive environment and highlighting the help that’s available. The first No Smoking Day was in 1983. Back then there were millions more smokers in the UK compared to today, so we must be doing something right.

But still, around 10 million people in the UK smoke, while around 100,000 die every year from smoking-related causes. That’s 100,000 deaths too many. And that’s why we’re here.

Our Stop Smoking Advisor, Emma will be at Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre in Leighton Buzzard on Monday 7th of March from 2-6pm. If you would like support to stop smoking pop along and see her! We also have Lucy who will be at Dunstable Leisure Centre on Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th & Wednesday 9th of March from 4-6pm.
